uniQure closes $345 million public offering with overallotment

Gene therapy company uniQure N.V. (NASDAQ: QURE) completed its public offering of ordinary shares and pre-funded warrants, raising approximately $345 million in gross proceeds before underwriting fees and expenses.
The offering consisted of 6,736,841 ordinary shares priced at $47.50 per share, including 947,368 shares issued through the full exercise of underwriters' overallotment option. The company also issued pre-funded warrants to purchase 526,316 ordinary shares at an exercise price of $0.0001 per warrant.
uniQure plans to use the net proceeds to fund commercialization activities for its AMT-130 treatment, develop other clinical candidates, support business development initiatives and research projects, and cover general corporate purposes.
Leerink Partners, Stifel, Guggenheim Securities and Van Lanschot Kempen served as bookrunning managers for the offering, while H.C. Wainwright & Co. acted as lead manager.
The securities were sold under uniQure's shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission in January. The Lexington, Massachusetts-based company focuses on gene therapies for patients with severe medical conditions, including treatments for hemophilia B, Huntington's disease, and other rare diseases.
