Wrap Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: WRAP) closed an equity offering on August 18, 2026, raising approximately $12.0 million from institutional investors, according to a company statement.
The company said proceeds will be used for working capital and general business purposes, including planned expansion of its WrapShield™ platform across public safety, enterprise security, and defense markets.
Wrap Technologies reported that second-quarter revenue doubled both sequentially and year over year. The company also said it tripled its product offerings and reduced capital consumption during the period.
The WrapShield™ platform is described as an architecture integrating detection, decision-making, and response capabilities. The company's areas of active technology interest include directed energy, counter-UAS systems, passive RF detection, space-based technologies, and advanced remote sensing.
The company cited two recent legal and regulatory developments as supportive of its law enforcement business. The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Barnes v. Felix addressed the totality of circumstances in use-of-force encounters. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives classified the company's BolaWrap® device as an instrument of restraint and rescue.
Wrap Technologies said it is also pursuing enterprise and insurance-supported markets through a developing relationship with XINSURANCE, which it said could shift device adoption from individual department procurement decisions to enterprise-wide safety standards.
The company said it is expanding its presence in Israel, where it holds a relationship with Frenel Imaging, which provides thermal polarimetric imaging technology. Wrap Technologies said it intends to use that presence to identify and license additional complementary technologies for integration into WrapShield™.
Wrap Technologies is also developing WRAP Federal, described as a planned Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence-compliant corporate structure intended to pursue U.S. federal contracts.
"We are strengthening the foundations and aiming to scale the core while working on building something considerably larger around it," said Jared Novick, President and Chief Operating Officer.
