Standard Uranium expands Davidson River drill program to 10,000 meters
Standard Uranium Ltd. (TSXV: STND) announced an expansion of its planned diamond drill program at the Davidson River project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin region. The program will target 8,000 to 10,000 meters of drilling beginning in May 2026, compared to the original smaller scope planned for fall 2025.
The company closed an additional tranche of its private placement offering for gross proceeds of $503,800. To date, Standard Uranium has raised $1,823,900 through the offering by issuing 15,598,750 non-flow-through units and 5,760,000 flow-through units.
The expanded drill program will utilize two diamond drills during favorable weather conditions to reduce cost per meter and increase efficiency. Standard Uranium has secured all necessary drill permits and signed exploration agreements with the Clearwater River Dene Nation for the four-to-six-week program.
The company recently completed what it describes as the first Exosphere Multiphysics survey in the southwest Athabasca uranium district, conducted in partnership with Fleet Space Technologies Canada Corp. The survey covered three conductor corridors on the 30,737-hectare Davidson River property.
Standard Uranium plans to continue offering up to 16,761,000 additional flow-through units at $0.10 each for gross proceeds of up to $1,676,100. The company also announced a separate offering of up to 25,000,000 flow-through units under the listed issuer financing exemption for proceeds of up to $2,500,000.
The Davidson River project is located approximately 25 to 30 kilometers west of the Arrow and Triple R uranium deposits. Standard Uranium has completed 16,561 meters of diamond drilling in 39 holes on the property since 2020.
"Our shareholders and advisors asked us to complete a larger drill program than we originally had planned for this fall based on the targets we are seeing from the work completed this summer," said CEO Jon Bey.
