Solana Company proceeds with share registration amid market volatility

October 20, 2025 10:18 AM EDT

Solana Company (NASDAQ: HSDT) announced it will proceed with its scheduled registration for resale of shares from a recent private placement, despite market volatility affecting digital asset companies.

Executive Chairman Joseph Chee stated in a letter that the company chose to move forward rather than delay the registration like some peers have done. The registration statement's effectiveness will make HSDT one of the largest market cap Solana digital asset treasury companies available to institutional investors.

The company expects the registration to create selling pressure that may drive the stock price below its net asset value temporarily. Chee described this as an opportunity for investors to "buy one dollar of Solana for less than a dollar."

Solana Company plans to generate yield through institutional-grade staking and leverage capital markets to acquire additional Solana tokens. The company targets a 7% yield through staking activities not accessible to individual investors.

The digital asset treasury company, created in partnership with Pantera and Summer Capital, focuses on acquiring Solana (SOL) tokens to maximize SOL holdings per share. The company aims to deploy capital strategically during market downturns and compound shareholder value through disciplined capital allocation.

Chee compared the company's strategy to building "the Berkshire Hathaway of the Solana ecosystem" - a vehicle designed to trade at a premium with a strong balance sheet and clear investment strategy.
