Orogen Royalties cancels private placement citing adequate funding

March 18, 2026 6:45 PM EDT

Orogen Royalties Inc. (TSXV:OGN)(OTCQB: OGNNF) announced it will not proceed with a private placement referenced in its March 12, 2026 news release, according to a company statement.

CEO Paddy Nicol said the company remains well funded to pursue project generation and royalty acquisition objectives. The cancellation does not change the company's exploration and investment strategy, he stated.

The Vancouver-based royalty company expects up to 16 partner-funded drill programs in 2026, representing more than 50,000 meters of drilling. These programs are intended to advance projects and royalties while increasing exploration discovery probability.

Orogen is also pursuing short-term acquisition opportunities that complement its existing portfolio, according to the statement.

The company's royalty portfolio includes the ErmitaƱo gold and silver mine in Sonora, Mexico, where it holds a 2.0% net smelter return royalty. First Majestic Silver Corp. operates the mine.

Orogen Royalties focuses on organic royalty creation and acquisitions of precious and base metal discoveries in western North America. The company has several projects under development by joint venture partners.
