Lobe Sciences upsizes private placement to $2.16M
Lobe Sciences Ltd. (CSE: LOBE, OTCQB: LOBEF, Frankfurt: LOBE) has announced an upsize to its non-brokered private placement of common shares at $0.085 per share.
The company closed the first tranche of the offering on August 19, 2026, issuing 24,705,880 shares for gross proceeds of $2,100,000. A second tranche of 705,882 shares is planned, targeting approximately $60,000 in additional gross proceeds. If the second tranche closes, the total offering will amount to 25,411,762 shares for aggregate gross proceeds of $2,160,000.
According to a press release, the company intends to use the proceeds for working capital, general corporate purposes, and to advance its S-100 drug candidate for the treatment of sickle cell disease. A portion of the funds will be directed to its subsidiary, Applied Lipid Technologies, Inc., to support development of the S-100 program toward human clinical trials. The company states it has already procured the active pharmaceutical ingredient required for these studies.
The second tranche remains subject to regulatory approvals, including acceptance by the Canadian Securities Exchange. Securities issued under the second tranche will carry a four-month hold period under Canadian securities laws.
