Lobe Sciences closes $2.16M private placement for S-100 drug program

Lobe Sciences Ltd. (CSE: LOBE, OTCQB: LOBEF, Frankfurt: LOBE.F) has closed a two-tranche non-brokered private placement, issuing a total of 25,411,762 common shares at $0.085 per share for gross proceeds of $2,160,000, according to a company statement.



The first tranche, closed Aug. 19, 2026, raised $2,100,000 through the issuance of 24,705,880 shares. A second tranche, driven by additional investor demand, raised $60,000 through 705,882 shares.



The company said proceeds will be used for working capital, general corporate purposes, and to advance its S-100 drug candidate for the treatment of sickle cell disease. A portion will be directed to its subsidiary, Applied Lipid Technologies, Inc., to support development of the S-100 program toward human clinical trials. Lobe Sciences said it has procured the active pharmaceutical ingredient required for those studies.



Securities issued in the second tranche are subject to a four-month hold period under Canadian securities laws. The securities have not been registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold in the United States without registration or an applicable exemption.
