Healthcare Realty Trust Incorporated (NYSE: HR) announced the establishment of a commercial paper program allowing its operating partnership to issue up to $600 million in short-term, unsecured commercial paper notes.
The program enables Healthcare Realty Holdings, L.P., the company's operating partnership, to sell notes under standard terms in the United States commercial paper market. The notes will rank equally with the issuer's other senior unsecured debt and will be guaranteed by Healthcare Realty Trust.
The company stated proceeds from note sales will be used for general corporate purposes. The notes will not be registered under the Securities Act of 1933 and may only be sold under applicable exemptions from registration requirements.
Healthcare Realty Trust describes itself as the largest owner, operator and developer of medical outpatient buildings in the United States, focusing exclusively on this property type.
