Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE: DX) has agreed to sell 12,500,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, BofA Merrill Lynch and JMP Securities are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. The Company has granted the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 1,875,000 shares of the Company’s common stock.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to acquire additional investments, consistent with its investment policy, and for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, repayment of maturing obligations, capital expenditures and working capital.
