Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAOI) announced the completion of a $600 million at-the-market equity offering program, according to a press release.
The Sugar Land, Texas-based company sold 5,694,845 shares at an average price of $105.36 per share, generating net proceeds of approximately $588 million after commissions and fees. The offering was first disclosed on Aug. 21, 2026, when the company filed a prospectus supplement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company said this was its third at-the-market equity offering program completed in 2026. Net proceeds are intended for general corporate purposes, including debt repayment, working capital, and capital expenditures related to manufacturing expansion for data center optical devices.
"We intend to use these proceeds to continue to make investments in the business, including new equipment and machinery for production and research and development use, as we continue to scale our advanced manufacturing capacity," said Dr. Thompson Lin, AOI's Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer.
