Akero Therapeutics (AKRO) Prices 5.228M Share Common Offering at $36/Sh

Akero Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKRO) announced today the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 5,228,166 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $36.00 per share, before underwriting discounts and commissions. All of the shares in the offering are to be sold by Akero. In addition, Akero has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 784,224 shares of its common stock. The gross proceeds from the offering, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses, are expected to be approximately $188.2 million, excluding any exercise of the underwriters' option to purchase additional shares. The offering is expected to close on or about July 10, 2020, subject to customary closing conditions.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Jefferies LLC and Evercore Group L.L.C. are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
