Research Alliance Corporation III prices $75 million IPO at $10 per share
Research Alliance Corporation III, a special purpose acquisition company, priced its initial public offering of 7.5 million Class A ordinary shares at $10.00 per share, the company announced. The shares began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under ticker symbol NASDAQ: RACC on May 20, 2026.
The offering is expected to close on May 21, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. The SPAC is sponsored by an affiliate of RA Capital Management, L.P. and led by CEO Matthew Hammond and CBO/COO Henry Stusnick.
The company stated it intends to focus its search for a business combination target in the healthcare or healthcare-related industries. Leerink Partners served as the sole bookrunning manager for the offering.
The financing included participation from multiple institutional investors including ADAR1 Capital, Affinity Asset Advisors, Balyasny Asset Management, Braidwell LP, BVF Partners, Cormorant Asset Management, Foresite Capital, Janus Henderson Investors, Perceptive Advisors, SilverArc Capital, Spruce Street Capital, TCGX, Trails Edge Capital Partners, and Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared the registration statement relating to the securities effective on May 19, 2026, according to the company's statement.
