Waste Management (WM) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c

Waste Management (NYSE: WM) reported Q3 EPS of $0.90, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.88. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.72 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.71 billion.

“Based on our results through the first nine months of the year, we are raising our full-year 2017 guidance of adjusted earnings per diluted share to between $3.19 and $3.21 and free cash flow to between $1.7 and $1.75 billion, despite an anticipated negative $0.03 per diluted share impact from our recycling operations in the fourth quarter. (b) The strength of our business is evident in the growth of our operating EBITDA and our cash conversion rate, and we expect our strong performance to continue into the fourth quarter and 2018.”
