Village Super Market (NASDAQ: VLGEA) reported Q3 EPS of $0.93, versus $0.23 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $387.1 million, versus $372.5 million reported last year.
Sales increased due to the opening of the Union replacement store on April 30, 2014 and a same store sales increase of 2.2%. Same store sales increased 2.2% due to improved sales in the greater Morristown replacement store, higher average transaction size and increased customer counts. The Company expects same store sales in fiscal 2015 to range from a 1.5% to 2.5% increase.
