United Continental Holdings (UAL) Tops Q1 EPS by 9c; PRASM Up 5.9%

United Continental Holdings (NYSE: UAL) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.98), $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of ($1.07). Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.72 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.69 billion.

First-quarter 2013 consolidated PRASM increased 5.9 percent compared to the same period in 2012. Consolidated yield for the first quarter of 2013 increased 1.9 percent year-over-year.
