Sturm Ruger (RGR) Misses Q1 EPS by 15c

Sturm Ruger (NYSE: RGR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.81, $0.15 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.96. Revenue for the quarter came in at $173.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $147.4 million.

The increase in estimated sell-through of the Company’s products from the independent distributors to retailers is attributable to:

• the increase in overall industry demand,
• new product introductions, and
• increased production capacity and availability of products in demand.
