Staples (SPLS) Tops Q3 EPS by 1c

Staples (NASDAQ: SPLS) reported Q3 EPS of $0.37, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.96 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.93 billion.

Comps fell 4 percent.

Staples sees Q4 2014 EPS of $0.27-$0.32, versus the consensus of $0.31.
