Party City (PRTY) Misses Q3 EPS by 2c

Party City (NYSE: PRTY) reported Q3 EPS of $0.10, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $555 million versus the consensus estimate of $569.49 million.

• Brand comparable sales decreased by 3.6% principally due to lapping strong sales of Frozen merchandise in the prior year quarter, temporary disruption resulting from store resets and soft traffic trends.

Party City sees FY2015 EPS of $0.99-$1.04, versus the consensus of $1.02. Party City sees FY2015 revenue of $2.27-2.32 billion, versus the consensus of $2.32 billion.
