Nordstrom (JWN) Tops Q3 EPS by 7c, Updates Guidance

Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN) reported Q3 EPS of $0.20, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.47 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Nordstrom sees FY2023 EPS of $2.30-$2.60, versus the consensus of $2.34.

• Revenue growth, including retail sales and credit card revenues, of 5 to 7 percent
• EBIT margin, as percent of sales, of 4.1 to 4.4 percent
• Adjusted EBIT margin of 4.3 to 4.7 percent3
• Income tax rate of approximately 27 percent
• EPS, excluding the impact of share repurchase activity, if any, of $2.13 to $2.43
• Adjusted EPS, excluding the impact of share repurchase activity, if any, of $2.30 to $2.603
• Leverage ratio below 2.9 times by year-end
