Microsoft (MSFT) Tops Q1 EPS by 47c

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) reported Q1 EPS of $4.13, $0.47 better than the analyst estimate of $3.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $77.7 billion versus the consensus estimate of $75.32 billion.

• Diluted earnings per share, on a GAAP basis, was $3.72 and increased 13%, and on a non-GAAP basis was $4.13 and increased 23% (up 21% in constant currency)
