Landstar System (LSTR) Tops Q1 EPS by 3c

Landstar System (NASDAQ: LSTR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.77, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.74. Revenue for the quarter came in at $780.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $757.09 million.

"I anticipate revenue for the 2017 second quarter to be in a range of $820 million to $870 million and, assuming that range of estimated revenue and normalized insurance and claims expense, I would anticipate 2017 second quarter diluted earnings per share to be in a range of $0.84 to $0.89 per share compared to $0.76 per diluted share in the 2016 second quarter.”
