Kroger (KR) Tops Q1 EPS by 10c

Kroger (NYSE: KR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.73, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.63. Revenue for the quarter came in at $37.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $37.33 billion.

  • Kroger reported identical supermarket sales, without fuel, of 1.4% for the first quarter of 2018.

GUIDANCE:

Kroger sees FY2018 EPS of $2.00-$2.15, versus the consensus of $2.07.

  • Kroger expects identical sales growth, excluding fuel, to range from 2.0% to 2.5% in 2018.
