Gorilla Technology reports 90% revenue growth in first half 2025

Gorilla Technology Group Inc. (NASDAQ: GRRR) reported revenue of $39.3 million for the first half of 2025, representing a 90.2% increase compared to $20.7 million in the same period of 2024, according to the company's financial results released August 14, 2025.

The London-based provider of security intelligence and IoT technology solutions signed three new contracts during the period with Port of Tyne in the United Kingdom, Wan Hai Port in Taiwan, and ADE Corporation in Taiwan. The company stated its pipeline now exceeds $5 billion.

Gorilla reduced its debt to $18.1 million at the end of the first half from $21.4 million at the end of 2024. The company ended the period with $26.1 million in total cash and completed a $105 million equity offering in July 2025.

The company reported an operating loss of $9.1 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025, compared to an operating income of $1.8 million in the same period of 2024. Net loss for the period was $8.5 million, or $0.43 per share, compared to net income of $1.6 million, or $0.17 per share, in the first half of 2024.

Gorilla reported adjusted EBITDA of $5.7 million and adjusted net income of $5.7 million for the first half of 2025, which excludes exchange losses from currency devaluation and fair value remeasurement of financial instruments. The company noted exchange losses of $12.6 million during the period, primarily due to depreciation of the Egyptian pound against the U.S. dollar.

The company's gross profit margin decreased to 34.2% in the first half of 2025 from 85.5% in the same period of 2024, reflecting higher cost of revenue of $25.9 million compared to $3.0 million in the prior year.
