Genesee & Wyoming (GWR) Tops Q3 EPS by 7c

Genesee & Wyoming (NYSE: GWR) reported Q3 EPS of $1.09, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $1.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $546.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $551.72 million.

Same railroad operating revenues, excluding the $23.6 million negative impact of foreign currency depreciation, declined 10.8%, primarily due to weakness in iron ore, coal and metals shipments.
