GMS Inc. (GMS) Misses Q3 EPS by 4c, Miss on Revenues

GMS Inc. (NYSE: GMS) reported Q3 EPS of $0.36, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenue for the quarter came in at $585.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $602.66 million.

Third Quarter 2018 Highlights Compared to Third Quarter 2017

• Net sales increased 4.1% to a record $585.5 million; base business net sales increased 2.9%
• Net income increased to $19.7 million, or $0.47 per diluted share, compared to $8.2 million, or $0.20 per diluted share
• Adjusted EBITDA grew 3.8% to a record $42.2 million
• Gross margin expanded 40 basis points to 33.4%
• Adjusted net income of $15.3 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, grew $0.5 million, compared to $14.8 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2017.
