Fresh Del Monte Produce (FDP) Tops Q1 EPS by 38c

Fresh Del Monte Produce (NYSE: FDP) reported Q1 EPS of $1.04, $0.38 better than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $982.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $946.5 million.

Comparable net income for the first quarter of 2014 was $56.5 million, compared with comparable net income of $41.2 million in the first quarter of 2013.
