Eaton (ETN) Tops Q1 EPS by 3c; Updates on Expected FX Impact

Eaton (NYSE: ETN) reported Q1 EPS of $0.88, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.85. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.81 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.77 billion.

Eaton said: We now believe the impact from negative currency translation in 2016 will be less than the $400 million we estimated at the start of the year. Our current estimate is that negative currency translation for the year is likely to be about $200 million.
