Dollar General Corp. (NYSE: DG) reports Q1 EPS of $0.42, ex-items, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter was $3.11 million, which compares to the estimate of $3.03 billion.
Same store sales rose 6.7%.
Sees FY10 sales growth of 8-10%, raises its adj-EPS guidance from $1.55-$1.63 to $1.62-$1.69, which compares to the Street estimate of $1.63.
