Cracker Barrel (CBRL) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c; Boosts FY16 EPS Outlook

Cracker Barrel (NASDAQ: CBRL) reported Q3 EPS of $1.82, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $1.80. Revenue for the quarter came in at $700.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $705.65 million.

Compared to the prior year third quarter, comparable store restaurant sales increased 2.3% and comparable store retail sales increased 2.2%.

GUIDANCE:

Cracker Barrel sees Q4 2016 EPS of $2.05-$2.15, versus the consensus of $2.11.

Cracker Barrel sees FY2016 EPS of $7.45-$7.55, versus the consensus of $7.51. The Company expects total revenue of between $2.90 billion and $2.95 billion, reflecting the expected opening of five new Cracker Barrel stores during the fiscal year.
