Colgate-Palmolive (CL) Tops Q3 EPS by 8c

Colgate-Palmolive (NYSE: CL) reported Q3 EPS of $0.80, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.72. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.08 billion.

Global unit volume grew 1.0%, pricing increased 3.5% and foreign exchange was negative 13.0%. Divestments decreased volume by 0.5%. Organic sales (Net sales excluding foreign exchange, acquisitions and divestments) grew 5.0%.
