Chefs' Warehouse (CHEF) Tops Q2 EPS by 2c

Chefs' Warehouse (NASDAQ: CHEF) reported Q2 EPS of $0.14, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $331.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $325.45 million.

GUIDANCE:

Chefs' Warehouse sees FY2017 EPS of $0.37-$0.41, versus the consensus of $0.38. Chefs' Warehouse sees FY2017 revenue of $1.28-1.29 billion, versus the consensus of $1.28 billion.

Organic growth was up 10% in Q2 and reported sales growth was up approximately 14%. In addition, we are having success on the bottom line with gross margins up 24 basis points, including a 12 basis point increase in the protein division,” said Chris Pappas, chairman and chief executive officer of The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. β€œThe investments we made in our infrastructure - additional talent, technology and facilities - are bearing fruit and positioning us well for the future.”
