Briggs & Stratton (BGG) Gains Following Q2 Beat

Briggs & Stratton (NYSE: BGG) is gaining sharply (+13%) in early trade following better-than-expected second quarter results and guidance after the close.

Briggs & Stratton (NYSE: BGG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.34, $0.16 better than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter came in at $413 million versus the consensus estimate of $435.16 million.

Briggs & Stratton sees FY2016 EPS of $1.25-$1.41, versus prior guidance of $1.20-$1.36 and the consensus of $1.30.
