Barrett Business Services (BBSI) Tops Q1 EPS by 9c, provides outlook

Barrett Business Services (NASDAQ: BBSI) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.04), $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.13). Revenue for the quarter came in at $292.57 million versus the consensus estimate of $287.14 million.

Outlook

BBSI continues to expect the following for 2025:

Gross billings growth of 7% to 9%.
Growth in the average number of WSEs of 4% to 6%.
Gross margin as a percent of gross billings of 2.85% to 3.10%.
Effective annual tax rate to remain at 26% to 27%.
