Avnet (AVT) Tops Q2 EPS by 5c, Offers Q3 Outlook

Avnet (NYSE: AVT) reported Q2 EPS of $0.78, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.46 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Avnet sees Q3 2018 EPS of $0.90-$1.00, versus the consensus of $0.91. Avnet sees Q3 2018 revenue of $4.65-4.95 billion, versus the consensus of $4.57 billion.

• Outlook for Fiscal 2018 Ending on June 30, 2018
• Sales are expected to be in the range of $18.5 billion to $18.9 billion
• Adjusted diluted earnings per share1 is expected to be in the range of $3.35 to $3.55 per share
• The guidance assumes 122 million average diluted shares outstanding and an adjusted tax rate of 21% to 25%
