Aramark Services (ARMK) Tops Q1 EPS by 3c

Aramark Services (NYSE: ARMK) reported Q1 EPS of $0.59, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.87 billion.

  • A weaker U.S. dollar increased sales by approximately $55 million, and had a positive impact on adjusted operating income of $3 million as well as a $0.01 positive impact on adjusted earnings per share.

GUIDANCE:

Aramark Services sees FY2018 EPS of $2.15-$2.30, may not compare to the consensus of $2.15.

  • The Company is increasing its outlook for 2018 adjusted EPS by 5-10 cents to a range of $2.15 to $2.30 per share, which includes 1-2 cents of currency benefit. This outlook now includes approximately 20 cents expected benefit related to tax reform, partly offset by 10-15 cents expected dilution due to the acquisitions. The Company continues to expect full-year free cash flow of greater than $400 million, which has not yet been updated to reflect the benefits of tax reform and the acquisitions.
