Anthem (ANTM) Tops Q1 EPS by 48c

Anthem (NYSE: ANTM) reported Q1 EPS of $3.14, $0.48 better than the analyst estimate of $2.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $0 versus the consensus estimate of $19.36 billion.

Medical enrollment increased sequentially by over 1.0 million members, or 2.8 percent, totaling approximately 38.5 million members as of March 31, 2015.
Company now expects medical enrollment to grow by 700 – 900 thousand members for the full year 2015.

Anthem sees FY2015 EPS of $9.90, versus the consensus of $9.83.
