AOL (AOL) Tops Q1 EPS by 2c
AOL (NYSE: AOL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.34, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenue for the quarter came in at $625.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $594.6 million.
AOL Properties display revenue fell 4 percent to $130.5 million and search rose 19 percent from $97.6 million to $116.4 million.
Subscription revenue slipped 6 percent to $141.6 million.
"AOL grew its consumer base strongly and saw continued strength in video, mobile and programmatic advertising, while we also updated the structure and capabilities of the company," said Tim Armstrong, AOL Chairman & CEO. "AOL continues to grow in strength and we are on a mission to scale the first Media Technology company of the internet and mobile age."
