Stocks Attempt to Bounce Off Lows

Stocks staged a minor comeback mid-morning on Friday, with the S&P 500 bouncing off lows near 2096. However, major indexes remained lower across the board for the second day in a row on general fears about the global economy and lower oil prices.
The Dow stood at 17,900, of 0.50%. The S&P 500 traded near 2100, down 0.6%, and Nasdaq was lower by 0.85% at 4915.
