Russian Int'l Reserves Fell $15.7B Last Week; Ruble Gains (RSX) (YNDX)

Yandex (NASDAQ: YNDX) is positive in early trading as the Russian ruble mounts a comeback.

Russia's international reserves fell $15.7 billion last week, according to a statement issued by the Bank of Russia on Thursday. It was the sharpest drop in six years.

According to the latest data, Russia's international reserves are at $398.9 billion.

News comes as Russia move to support the ruble, which has moved lower and rebounded in recent weeks.

The ruble is up about 4 percent to 54.17 per U.S. dollar.
