Pimco's Global Inflation-Linked Bond Fund (ILB) Gets Off the Ground
Pimco's Global Advantage Inflation-Linked Bond Strategy Fund (NYSE: ILB) is "live" Tuesday. The new ETF offers bond-style returns that are protected against rises in inflation, sort of like TIPS but with a global point of view.
Interest is expected to be high, given consumer demand to protect capital against the specter of inflation. Another unique feature of ILB is it is considered an active ETF, meaning there will be a higher level of management than a traditional, passive ETF.
The fund has a total expense ratio after fee waivers of 0.6 percent, which isn’t necessarily cheap, but the fee appears to be appropriate given the active management structure.
The fund last traded at $50.90.
