Natual Gas Futures Jump On Possible Cyber Attacks (UNG)
Natual Gas Futures, and United States Natural Gas Fund (NYSE: UNG) are breaking out and heading north Tuesday afternoon after trading flat for most of the day.
It is unclear the reason, although there were reports mid-day from the AFP confirming that there has been a series of cyber attacks targeting US natural gas pipeline operators.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesman told the AFP that it "has been working since March 2012 with critical infrastructure owners and operators in the oil and natural gas sector to address a series of cyber intrusions targeting natural gas pipeline companies."
