Morgan Stanley to liquidate Calvert US Select Equity ETF by October

September 19, 2025 9:08 AM EDT

Morgan Stanley Investment Management announced the liquidation of the Calvert US Select Equity ETF (CVSE), with the process expected to complete on or around October 20, 2025.

The Board of Morgan Stanley ETF Trust approved a plan to liquidate the fund's assets, satisfy liabilities, and distribute remaining proceeds to shareholders. All outstanding shares will be redeemed as part of the liquidation process.

Trading activity for the fund will be limited starting October 14, 2025. The fund will stop accepting orders for creation units at the close of business that day, which is also expected to be the last full trading day on NYSE Arca. Shareholders can sell their shares on the exchange until market close on October 14, 2025, after which trading will halt.

Between the trading halt and the liquidation date, shareholders will be unable to sell shares on NYSE Arca, with no assurance of alternative market availability. During this period, the fund will transition assets to cash and cash equivalents in preparation for distribution.

The fund may no longer pursue its stated investment objective during the wind-down period, which could impact performance. Shareholders who continue holding shares through the liquidation date will receive a distribution that may differ from the amount they could receive by selling before October 14, 2025.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management manages $1.7 trillion in assets under management or supervision as of June 30, 2025. The fund is distributed by Foreside Fund Services.

Shareholders should consult tax advisers regarding potential tax implications from the sale or liquidation of fund shares, particularly for holdings in taxable accounts.
