France calls for 'firm and united' European response to U.S. tariffs
PARIS (Reuters) - France wants a "firm and united" European response to tariffs imposed by the United States that notably target the French wine sector, the French farm ministry said on Monday.
"The French (farm) minister, backed by his Spanish and Italian colleagues, expressed his strong concern following commercial sanctions imposed by the United states that particularly target the French wine sector," the statement said.
The farm ministry issued the statement following a meeting of European farm ministers in Luxembourg on Monday.
