May 9, 2012 5:33 PM EDT
Shares of Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) are getting hammered in after-hours trading Wednesday and dragging down the entire NASDAQ Index, which trades as an ETF under the symbol QQQ.

Cisco Systems, Inc posted solid third-quarter results after the close Wednesday, but investors are selling the shares as the networking giant provided statements and guidance that were less than compelling during the conference call.

After closing the intraday session down 0.3 percent, the ETF is now trading down about 0.8 percent.
