Biotech stocks declined early on Thursday, with iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (Nasdaq: IBB) lower by about 3%. The group is down over 10% in the past month.

Notable decliners included popular stocks like Pharmacyclics Inc. (Nasdaq: PCYC), Gilead Sciences Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD), Biogen Idec Inc. (Nasdaq: BIIB) and Celgene Corporation (Nasdaq: CELG), to name a few.
