Piper Jaffray's William Quirk downgraded shares of Gen-Probe (NASDAQ: GPRO) from Overweight to Neutral Monday afternoon following news of the company's $3.7 billion deal with Hologic (Nasdaq: HOLX). The analyst boosted his price target on Gen-Probe shares from $80 to $82.75.

Gen-Probe shares last traded at $81.59, up 18.7 percent from Friday's closing price.
