ProAssurance (NYSE: PRA) declared a special dividend of $2.65 per share.

The dividend will be payable on January 9, 2015, to stockholders of record on December 30, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of December 26, 2014.

The annual yield on the dividend is 5.8 percent.
