Colgate-Palmolive Co. (CL) Raises Quarterly Dividend 6.9% to $0.62; 2.6% Yield

Colgate-Palmolive Co. (NYSE: CL) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.62 per share, or $2.48 annualized. This is a 6.9% increase from the prior dividend of $0.58.

The dividend will be payable on May 15, 2012, to stockholders of record on April 24, 2012, with an ex-dividend date of April 20, 2012. The annual yield on the dividend is 2.6 percent.

The Company has paid uninterrupted dividends on its common stock since 1895.

Separately, the Company also announced today that Nikesh Arora, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer of Google, Inc. has been elected to Colgate’s Board of Directors effective March 15, 2012.
