VAYK revives crypto strategy to monetize historic landmarks
Vaycaychella Inc. (OTC Pink: VAYK) announced it will revive its cryptocurrency strategy to monetize intangible assets of historic landmarks valued at $10 million to $20 million, according to a company statement.
The Atlanta-based company plans to create non-fungible tokens based on visual records of renovating historic landmark buildings into short-term rental properties. Each NFT will include a one-night free stay at the renovated properties. Proceeds from NFT sales will be managed in a cryptocurrency treasury account, with potential gains shared between the company and NFT holders.
VAYK's strategy forms part of a business plan targeting the $64 billion short-term rental industry through three services: property renovation of historic landmarks, AI-enhanced rental management, and cryptocurrency-based financing.
"We have always been pioneers in exploring the potential of applying cryptocurrency strategies to daily business operations," stated Jason Armstrong, CEO of Vaycaychella. The company acquired Definancial Inc., a cryptocurrency exchange technology firm, in March 2022 under previous management.
Armstrong said the new management team, which took over in 2024, had planned to release crypto-based NFTs based on rights to a $2.5 million nationally registered historic landmark property but postponed the initiative due to market conditions.
The company expects the NFT and cryptocurrency treasury account to become operational within months. The first NFT group will be based on the Rufus Rose House in downtown Atlanta. VAYK is discussing partnerships to add more historic landmark buildings to reach the target portfolio value of $10 million to $20 million.
