Strategy reports bitcoin holdings reach 673,783 coins worth $50.55 billion

Strategy Inc (NASDAQ: MSTR) reported it acquired 1,286 bitcoin during late December 2025 and early January 2026, bringing its total holdings to 673,783 bitcoin valued at $50.55 billion as of January 4, 2026.
The company purchased 3 bitcoin for $0.3 million during December 29-31, 2025, at an average price of $88,210. From January 1-4, 2026, Strategy acquired 1,283 bitcoin for $116.0 million at an average price of $90,391.
Strategy funded the bitcoin purchases using proceeds from its at-the-market offering program. The company sold 1,255,911 shares of Class A common stock during December 29-31, 2025, generating $195.9 million in net proceeds. An additional 735,000 shares were sold from January 1-4, 2026, raising $116.3 million in net proceeds.
The company reported significant unrealized losses on digital assets for 2025. For the full year, Strategy recorded a $5.40 billion unrealized loss on digital assets with a $1.55 billion associated deferred tax benefit. The fourth quarter alone showed a $17.44 billion unrealized loss with a $5.01 billion deferred tax benefit.
As of December 31, 2025, Strategy's digital asset carrying value was $58.85 billion with a related deferred tax liability of $2.42 billion. The company maintains a USD reserve of $2.25 billion as of January 4, 2026, to support dividend payments on preferred stock and interest on outstanding debt.
Strategy has approximately $41.5 billion available for future issuance across its various at-the-market programs, including $11.4 billion for common stock sales.
